Rakket is a browser party game for a room of two to a hundred people: one shared screen, everyone on their own phone, and 14 games that are drawing, physics, trading and voting races rather than multiple-choice questions somebody had to write first.
Kahoot is a great tool for the job it was built to do. If you need to check whether a group learned something, it has over a hundred million ready-made games, a question bank, team and self-paced modes, and reports afterwards that tell you who understood what. None of that exists in Rakket, and none of it is meant to. For teaching, training and onboarding assessment, use Kahoot.

Because a social event is not a lesson. A quiz has a right answer, and a right answer sorts a room into people who knew it and people who did not, which is exactly what you want in a classroom and exactly what you do not want at a Christmas party. The teamwork games here have no answer key: a team submits one placement built out of what everybody did, and it is funny when it goes wrong.
The other reason is the preparation. A good kahoot is somebody's evening of writing questions, and the person who writes it cannot really play it. Nothing here needs preparing: the content is in the box, the room picks a game from three dealt cards, and whoever opened the display is a player like everyone else.
If you are teaching, onboarding or measuring anything, stay with Kahoot: you want the question bank and the reports, and Rakket has neither. Stay too if your content is the point: a company-values quiz, a product-knowledge round, a pub quiz you wrote yourself. Rakket has no way to enter your own questions, and pretending otherwise would waste your evening.

No. Everyone joins as a guest with a four-letter code. Only the person paying needs an account, and only to pay.

Ice Breaker asks questions about the people in the room and has the group guess the answers, which is the closest thing. It is about each other rather than about facts.
